The OPTICAL TRAINING
ACADEMY
The
Optical Training Academy (OTA) was established by the Opticians Assoc. of
Georgia in April 2K7 - by the OAG Board of Directors - in an effort to be of
service to the Georgia opticianry community particularly apprentice/trainees as
they prepared for the ABO/NCLE examination that are part of the pre-requisites
to be a licensed optician in Georgia.
To learn more, click HERE.
The NCLE exam prep class will NOT be offered
this fall, but will be available in the spring 2K10
From the President...
The schedule is set for the fall meeting in
Savannah. Further information and registration will be posted shortly at
www.oagonline.org . We will have
a total of 11 hours of which 10 will be ABO/NCLE. The other hour at
issue is 1hr. on Georgia law which is valid for Georgia license renewal
but is not an ABO accredited course. As a rule law classes are not
accredited for ABO purposes as they are considered a state matter. The
c.e. classes will be on Sat. and Sun. the 7 & 8th of November at the
Mulberry Inn in Savannah.

Dear license holder,
Thank you for your contribution to your profession and the State of Georgia.
Because your industry is regulated by the state, you know how important it is to
monitor the actions of the licensing board and familiarize yourself with the
laws and rules pertaining to your profession.
In an effort to assist you with this process, I have asked each of the Boards to
create quarterly electronic newsletters that will inform you of Board actions.
You can find the most recent newsletter for your Board at the link below.
